Founder & CEO

As the founder of Aptel Research, Michele has more than 20 year experience in the United States domestic and international pharmaceutical industry as both a client and consultant. Michele’s passion is to bring her extensive marketing and scientific knowledge to innovative and complex concepts/products. She applies her invaluable skills to managing marketing research projects for the healthcare industry as well as assessing market and product opportunities and strategic directions for brand and corporate initiatives.

She has managing projects and conducted marketing research in all major disease areas and is especially sought after by clients for her expertise in oncology and auto-immune diseases.

Michele has conducted as well as managed in-house marketing research projects for both US domestic and Global markets and has designed and facilitated numerous war game and strategic workshops. Michele has held positions in strategic marketing research at pharmaceutical and consulting companies both in the United States and in Europe (Biogen IDEC, EMD Serono, Zambon France, Mercer Consulting, Decision Resources).

Michele holds an MBA from H.E.C, France and an M.Sc in Environmental Sciences from Hebrew University, Israel and an MPH from Dauphine University, France.

Doreen A. Amatelli

 

With almost two decades of experience in the United States and international pharmaceutical industry as a client and consultant. Doreen A. Amatelli is a senior consultant at Aptel Research. Doreen’s passion is to apply innovative methods to understanding customers’ mindset. Doreen’s unique ability to listen and think strategically allows her to provide actionable insights into our clients’ business and marketing strategies. She has developed extensive expertise in the area of qualitative marketing research across most major therapeutic areas. Doreen moderates in the US and manages projects worldwide. She has developed and facilitated many war game and strategic workshops. Doreen has held positions in strategic marketing research at pharmaceutical and consulting companies (Merck, Biovid) and holds a Certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Doreen has a B.S. in Marketing from Seton Hall University and an M.B.A. from Rider University.

 

Daqing Hartwell

 

Daqing Hartwell has more than 10 years experience in market research and commercial assessments. She is a senior consultant and Managing Director Europe at Aptel Research. Daqing’s passion is to incorporate her extensive knowledge of science and of a large spectrum of diseases to help our clients’ in their compound evaluations including due diligence of licensing and acquisition candidates.
Daqing obtained her Ph.D. in Pathology from Boston University School of Medicine and subsequently conducted post-doctoral research fellowships at Harvard Medical School. 

Sylvie Levy

 

Sylvie Levy has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical market research experience, specifically in Europe. She is a senior consultant at Aptel Research. Sylvie’s passion is to apply her analytical techniques to global projects to identify commonalities as well as subtle differences. She has worked with a large number of major pharmaceutical and biotech firms in Europe and Asia in most key therapeutic categories and with physician, consumer and payer audiences. Prior to becoming a market researcher, Sylvie was part of the commercial team for Pfizer in France. 
Sylvie holds a pharmacy degree from Hebrew University Israel. She was also educated in individual and group coaching as well as interactional and systemic approaches at the Palo Alto School.
